Abstract

The invention relates to metallurgy. A method includes feeding manganese and iron-containing raw material, flux and reducing agent in electrical furnace, fusion penetration thereof and periodic tapping melt from the furnace in a ladle with maintaining ratio CaO/SiO2 in the end slag of 1.1-1.25. In the furnace 3-95 % of iron-containing raw material is fed and part of flux providing the ratio CaO/SiO2 in the charge 0.6-1.0, and the rest amount of flux and iron-ore raw material mixture is preliminary burned and is uniformly fed into the ladle during tapping metal from the furnace.
