Abstract

The invention concerns a procedure for treating seed material which is to be germinated, to said seed material being added, in conjunction with the germination process, a lactic acid bacteria preparation or a preparation produced by lactic acid bacteria and having an effect inhibiting microbial growth. The lactic acid bacterium belongs to genus Lactococcus, Leuconostoc, Pediococcus or Lactobacillus.
