Abstract

The invention relates to the processes for chemical regeneration of sorbents. The proposed process for chemical regeneration of activated carbon consists in the treatment of the latter in two stages: on the first – with solution of sodium hydroxide, and on the second – with solution of sodium chloride, and the solution of alkali of 2-4 weight % concentration and solution of sodium chloride of 0.8-1 weight % concentration are used. The process is carried out at temperature of 40-20 °C. The realization of the proposed process provides the increasing of removal degree of organic impurities at low temperatures of regeneration solutions.
