Abstract

An electrical connector, used for electrically connecting a chip module with a printed circuit board, comprises an insulating housing and a plurality of contacts received in the insulating housing. Each contact includes a first contact pin, a second contact pin and a spring fitted over a predetermined area between the first contact pin and the second contact pin. The first contact pin has a contacting portion and a body extending downwardly from a bottom end of the contacting portion. The second contact pin has a contacting portion and a pair of leading arms extending upwardly from a top end of the contacting portion and engaging with the body of the first contact pin. The body of the first contact pin has a twisting style. When testing, the contact endures a downward force and then the first contact pin moves downwardly by guiding of the leading arms of the second contact pin and will rotate automatically to scrape an oxide layer of a ball of the chip module at the same time.
