Abstract

The present invention relates to a lock cylinder comprising a cylinder housing and a cylinder core that is rotatably supported in the cylinder housing about a cylinder axis and that is secured by means of a circlip against an axial movement relative to the cylinder housing, wherein the cylinder core has a keyway for the introduction of an associated key, wherein the cylinder core can be rotated between a locked position and an open position by means of the introduced key, and wherein the lock cylinder has a plurality of tumblers that can be actuated by means of the associated key. In the lock cylinder in accordance with the invention, provision is made that the circlip together with the cylinder housing forms a rotary abutment for limiting an angle of rotation of the cylinder core to a predetermined rotary angle range.
