Description

Smart Glasses

The present invention relates to a pair of glasses, and in particular to a pair of smart glasses.

Smart glasses are a practical application of augmented reality (AR) technology. Wearers can simultaneously see the real scene and the images, pictures or information superimposed on the real scene. Generally speaking, the wearer hangs the two temples of the smart glasses on both sides of the head, and the two lenses of the smart glasses fall in front of the wearer's eyes. Because everyone's head or face shape is different, if the two temples cannot provide sufficient clamping force, the smart glasses are easy to loosen on the wearer's head, or even fall off the wearer's head.

When the rotation angle of the two temples 140 in external rotation or internal rotation is not greater than (i.e., less than or equal to) the preset angle PA, the two pivot modules 130 respectively generate a first torque (e.g., a positioning torque) on the two temples 140, which not only facilitates the wearer to rotate the two temples 140, but also produces a positioning effect for the two temples 140 to prevent them from arbitrarily rotating. For example, the preset angle PA may be 85 degrees, but is not limited thereto.

When the rotation angle of the two outwardly rotated temples 140 exceeds the preset angle PA, the two pivot modules 130 respectively generate a second torque (e.g., a reverse torque) greater than the first torque on the two temples 140, so that the two temples 140 rotate inwardly and generate a clamping force on the wearer's head, thereby improving the stability of the smart glasses 100 when worn, and preventing the smart glasses 100 from loosening on the wearer's head or falling off the wearer's head.

FIG. 2C is a schematic diagram of the pivot module of FIG. 2A . FIG. 2D is a schematic diagram of the pivot module of FIG. 2B . FIG. 2E is an exploded schematic diagram of the pivot module of FIG. 2C . Referring to FIG. 2A , FIG. 2C and FIG. 2E , in this embodiment, each pivot module 130 includes a first lens frame bracket 131, a lens leg bracket 132, a rotating shaft 133, a torque washer 134, a spring 135, a positioning nut 136, a second lens frame bracket 137 and a cover plate 138, wherein the first lens frame bracket 131 is fixed to the lens frame body 110, and the lens leg bracket 132 is fixed to the lens leg 140. The rotation axis 133 passes through the first lens frame support 131 and the temple support 132, wherein the first lens frame support 131 does not have a degree of freedom of movement to rotate relative to the rotation axis 133, and the temple support 132 is rotatably mounted on the rotation axis 133. In other words, the temple support 132 is rotatably mounted on the first lens frame support 131 and is suitable for rotating relative to the first lens frame support 131 around the rotation axis 133.

The temple support 132 includes a torsion structure 1320 surrounding the rotation axis 133, and the torsion structure 1320 has an active plane 1321 and an active inclined plane 1322 protruding from the active plane 1321. The torsion washer 134 is slidably mounted on the rotation axis 133, but does not have the freedom of movement to rotate relative to the rotation axis 133. The torque washer 134 contacts the torque structure 1320. When the temple 140 drives the temple support 132 to rotate around the rotation axis 133 relative to the first lens frame support 131, depending on the size of the rotation angle, the torque structure 1320 is suitable for contacting the torque washer 134 with the active flat surface 1321 or the active inclined surface 1322, as shown in Figures 2A to 2D.

As shown in FIGS. 2A to 2D , when the active plane 1321 of the torsion structure 1320 contacts the torsion washer 134, the height of the torsion washer 134 remains unchanged. As the temple 140 rotates outward beyond the preset angle PA, the active inclined plane 1322 of the torsion structure 1320 contacts the torsion washer 134 and slides relative to the torsion washer 134 to gradually push up the torsion washer 134, so that the torsion washer 134 slides away from the active plane 1321. On the other hand, as the temple 140 rotates inwardly, the active inclined surface 1322 of the torsion structure 1320 contacts the torque washer 134 and slides relative to the torque washer 134 to support the torque washer 134 to gradually descend, so that the torque washer 134 slides toward the active plane 1321.

2A, 2C and 2E, the spring 135 may be a compression spring and is sleeved on the rotating shaft 133. In addition, the torque washer 134 is located between the torsion structure 1320 and the spring 135, wherein the positioning nut 136 is fixed to the end of the rotating shaft 133, and the opposite ends of the spring 135 are in contact with the torque washer 134 and the positioning nut 136 respectively. In detail, the elastic force of the spring 135 pushes against the torque washer 134, so that the torque washer 134 and the torsion structure 1320 are kept in contact, and a resistance or torque is generated on the temple bracket 132.

As shown in FIG2A and FIG2C , when the active plane 1321 of the torsion structure 1320 contacts the torsion washer 134 and slides relative to the torsion washer 134, the height of the torsion washer 134 remains unchanged, and the spring 135 has a first length. At this time, the spring 135 pushes the torsion washer 134 with a first elastic force, so that the torsion washer 134 and the torsion structure 1320 keep in contact, and generate a first resistance or a first torque on the temple support 132. In detail, the first resistance or the first torque acting on the temple support 132 can be used as a positioning torque, and generate a positioning effect on the temple 140 so that it does not swing arbitrarily.

As shown in FIG2B and FIG2D , as the temple 140 rotates outward beyond the preset angle PA, the active plane 1321 of the torsion structure 1320 of the temple support 132 that moves with the temple 140 separates from the torque washer 134. When the active inclined surface 1322 of the torsion structure 1320 contacts the torque washer 134 and slides relative to the torque washer 134, the torque washer 134 pushed by the active inclined surface 1322 slides toward the positioning nut 136 and squeezes the spring 135, so that the spring 135 has a second length that is smaller than the first length. At this time, the spring 135 pushes the torque washer 134 with a second elastic force greater than the first elastic force, so that the torque washer 134 maintains contact with the torsion structure 1320, and generates a first resistance greater than the first resistance or a second torque greater than the first torque on the temple support 132. In detail, the second resistance or the second torque acting on the temple support 132 can be used as a reverse torque, so that the temple 140 that is externally rotated beyond the preset angle PA has a tendency to internally rotate so as to fit against the wearer's head.

2C to 2E , in this embodiment, the temple support 132 further includes a hollow body 1323, and the rotating shaft 133 passes through the hollow body 1323. The hollow body 1323 is rotatably disposed on the first frame support 131, wherein the torsion structure 1320, the torsion washer 134, the spring 135 and the positioning nut 136 are located in the hollow body 1323, and the torsion structure 1320 can be a protruding structure on the bottom of the hollow body 1323. When the temple support 132 rotates, the rotating shaft 133, the torsion washer 134, the spring 135 and the positioning nut 136 do not rotate.

1342。Specifically, the torque washer 134 includes a washer body 1341 and a torque protrusion 1342 protruding from the washer body 1341 toward the torque structure 1320. As the temple support 132 rotates, the torsion structure 1320 contacts the torque protrusion 1342 with the active plane 1321 or contacts the torque protrusion 1342 with the active inclined surface 1322.

As shown in FIG. 2C , when the active plane 1321 of the torsion structure 1320 contacts the torsion protrusion 1342 and slides relative to the torsion protrusion 1342 , the spring 135 pushes the gasket body 1341 with a first elastic force, so that the torsion protrusion 1342 maintains contact with the torsion structure 1320 and generates a first resistance or a first torque on the temple bracket 132 .

As shown in FIG. 2D , the active plane 1321 of the torsion structure 1320 is separated from the torsion protrusion 1342. When the active inclined surface 1322 of the torsion structure 1320 contacts the torsion protrusion 1342 and slides relative to the torsion protrusion 1342, the active inclined surface 1322 pushes the torsion protrusion 1342, so that the washer body 1341 slides toward the positioning nut 136 and squeezes the spring 135. At this time, the spring 135 pushes the washer body 1341 with a second elastic force, so that the torsion protrusion 1342 keeps in contact with the torsion structure 1320, and generates a second resistance or a second torsion on the temple support 132.

1322。As shown in Figures 2C and 2D, the torsion protrusion 1342 has a driven plane 1343 and a driven inclined surface 1344 connected between the driven plane 1343 and the washer body 1341, wherein the driven plane 1343 is suitable for contacting the active plane 1321 of the torsion structure 1320, and the driven inclined surface 1344 is suitable for contacting the active inclined surface 1322 of the torsion structure 1320.

As shown in FIG. 2C , when the active plane 1321 of the torsion structure 1320 and the driven plane 1343 of the torsion protrusion 1342 are in sliding contact, the spring 135 pushes the gasket body 1341 with a first elastic force, so that the torsion protrusion 1342 and the torsion structure 1320 maintain contact, and generate a first resistance or a first torque on the temple bracket 132.

As shown in FIG. 2D , the active plane 1321 of the torsion structure 1320 is separated from the driven plane 1343 of the torsion protrusion 1342. When the active inclined plane 1322 of the torsion structure 1320 and the driven inclined plane 1344 of the torsion protrusion 1342 are in sliding contact, the spring 135 pushes the gasket body 1341 with a second elastic force, so that the torsion protrusion 1342 maintains contact with the torsion structure 1320, and generates a second resistance or a second torque on the temple bracket 132.

2A, 2C and 2E, in this embodiment, the first frame support 131 includes a bottom plate 1310, a partition plate 1311 protruding from the bottom plate 1310 and a frame fixing portion 1312 protruding from the bottom plate 1310, and the frame fixing portion 1312 is fixed to the frame body 110. 140。As shown in FIG. 2A , FIG. 3A and FIG. 3B , in this embodiment, the smart glasses 100 further include two heat sources 160 and two heat sinks 161. The two heat sources 160 are respectively disposed in the two temples 140 and respectively disposed on the two temple plate portions 153. The heat source 160 may include at least a rigid circuit board and electronic components thereon, and is electrically connected to the flexible circuit board 150. On the other hand, the two heat sinks 161 are respectively disposed on the two temples 140 and are respectively thermally coupled to the two heat sources 160 to quickly conduct the heat generated by the two heat sources 160 to the outside. In detail, each temple 140 has an opening 141, and the heat sink 161 is engaged in the opening 141. Each heat source 160 is disposed corresponding to the opening 141 , wherein one side of the heat sink 161 contacts the heat source 160 through the opening 141 , and the other side of the heat sink 161 is exposed to the temple 140 .

In summary, as the rotation angle of each temple changes, the pivot module can generate a first torque or a second torque greater than the first torque on the temple. Specifically, when the two temples rotate within a preset angle relative to the frame body through the two pivot modules, the two pivot modules generate a first torque (such as a positioning torque) on the two temples, which not only facilitates the wearer to rotate the two temples, but also produces a positioning effect on the two temples to prevent them from arbitrarily swinging. On the other hand, when the two temples are rotated relative to the frame body by the two pivot modules respectively exceeding a preset angle, the two pivot modules respectively generate a second torque (e.g., a reverse torque) on the two temples, so that the two temples rotate inward and generate a clamping force on the wearer's head, thereby improving the stability of the smart glasses when they are worn, and preventing the smart glasses from loosening on the wearer's head or falling off the wearer's head.

In addition, the flexible circuit board is disposed in the frame body and extends through the two pivot modules to extend into the two temples. Specifically, the flexible circuit board is provided with two buffer plate portions corresponding to the two pivot modules. When the two temples rotate relative to the frame body through the two pivot modules, the two buffer plate portions can generate appropriate expansion or elastic deformation to improve the smoothness of the rotation of the two temples and prevent the flexible circuit board from being damaged or broken due to the repeated rotation of the two temples.
