Description
本發明係與自行車座墊有關,特別是關於一種自行車座墊本體製造方法。
一般自行車座墊本體主要包含有一彈性體、一硬質底殼,以及一表層。該彈性體係由發泡材質製成,例如經發泡之聚氨酯(polyurethane,簡稱PU)、乙烯/醋酸乙烯酯共聚物(ethylene-vinyl acetate,簡稱EVA)或聚乙烯(polyethylene,簡稱PE),用以提供適度之緩衝性及支撐性。該底殼係設置於該彈性體底部,用以支撐座墊本體整體並藉由其他構件而與自行車座桿連結。該表層(例如合成塑膠皮)係覆蓋於該彈性體頂部及側周緣,用以與騎乘者接觸。
傳統設置表層之方式,係在該彈性體與該底殼結合之後,以人工方式將表層覆蓋在彈性體頂部,並將表層拉緊以服貼於彈性體上,再將表層周緣反折到底殼下,並利用黏膠或釘槍將表層周緣固定於該底殼。然而,此表層設置方式不但相當費時,且容易因拉緊表層之力道不平均而造成表層歪斜或未服貼於彈性體,尤其是材質為合成塑膠皮之表層,其彈性較小而更容易產生前述之問題。此外,對於形狀較為複雜之座墊本體,例如中央有穿孔的座墊本體,以前述人工方式設置表層更為困難。
歐洲專利編號第EP1919683號揭露一種自行車座墊製造方法,係在該彈性體於一成型模具內發泡成型時,亦同時在該成型模具內設置表層以及邊緣設有一溝槽之底殼,使得該彈性體在成型時亦同時與該表層及該底殼結合,然後,將該表層邊緣未與彈性體結合的部分裁切去除,並利用射出成型在該底殼之溝槽內成型出一邊框,以利用該邊框包覆該底殼及該彈性體之邊緣而達到防水之效果。此表層設置方式雖可避免如前述之人工設置方式的問題,但整體製程稍嫌複雜。
美國專利公開編號第US2013/0174971號揭露一種自行車座墊製造方法,係在該彈性體與該底殼結合之後,在一密閉腔室內利用氣壓將表層服貼地固定於該彈性體及該底殼。此表層設置方式雖可避免如前述之人工設置方式的問題,但使得座墊製造程序較為複雜。
有鑑於上述缺失,本發明之主要目的在於提供一種自行車座墊本體製造方法,係可避免表層受力不均及未服貼於彈性體之問題,並可避免座墊本體邊緣不平滑之問題,且座墊本體製造程序較為簡便。
為達成上述目的,本發明所提供之自行車座墊本體製造方法包含有下列步驟:a)以真空吸引方式將一表層吸附於一成型模具之一模穴內,使得該表層具有一貼附於該模穴之一內壁的主區,以及一位於該主區周圍的周緣區;b)將一基材在該成型模具之模穴內加熱成型為一彈性體,使得該表層之主區服貼地結合於該彈性體,並將一底殼結合於該彈性體;以及c)將該表層之周緣區反折並固定於該底殼之一底部。
由於該表層係先貼附於該模穴內壁,該基材再於該模穴內加熱成型為該彈性體,因此該表層可相當服貼地結合於該彈性體,並使步驟c)之反折、固定表層周緣區的程序相當容易進行,可避免傳統人工設置表層方式造成表層受力不均之問題。而且,表層之周緣區係反折至底殼底部再固定於底殼,可使表層完全包覆座墊本體邊緣,進而使座墊本體邊緣相當平滑,可避免或降低騎乘者使用該座墊本體時,其跨部磨擦該座墊本體邊緣處時產生不適感。再者,該表層係在該基材加熱成型為該彈性體的同時結合於該彈性體,因此可簡化座墊本體製造程序。
較佳地,該步驟b)中的基材為一液態之可發泡材料,該步驟b)係將該可發泡材料注入該成型模具之模穴,使得該可發泡材料在該表層之主區上發泡成型為該彈性體。如此可更加簡化座墊本體製造程序,並使得該表層更為服貼地結合於該彈性體。
較佳地,該步驟b)係在該基材加熱成型為該彈性體的同
時,使該底殼在該成型模具內結合於該彈性體,如此可更加簡化座墊本體製造程序。然而,該步驟b)亦可在該基材加熱成型為該彈性體且該彈性體與該表層結合之後,再將該底殼結合於該彈性體。
較佳地,該步驟b)更在該底殼與該彈性體之間設置一連結層。更佳地,該連結層為一塑膠(例如PE、PVC等等)薄膜。藉此,該連結層可避免該模穴內之基材溢出至該底殼而污染該底殼底部外露之表面,並可增加該底殼與該彈性體之結合強度。
較佳地,該成型模具包含有一上模及一下模,該模穴係位於該下模,該步驟b)中的基材為一液態之可發泡材料,該步驟b)係將該可發泡材料注入該模穴,並將該底殼設於該上模,再將該上模閉合於該下模,使得該可發泡材料在該底殼與該表層之間發泡成型為該彈性體,同時該底殼及該表層在該成型模具內結合於該彈性體。更佳地,該步驟b)更在該上模閉合於該下模之前將一連結層設置於該上模或該下模,該上模閉合於該下模時,該底殼係隔著該連結層而與該彈性體結合。
此外,該成型模具可更包含有一壓框,該步驟a)係將該表層之周緣區設於該壓框與該下模之間;該上模閉合於該下模時,該上模係壓抵於該壓框上。該步驟b)可更在該上模閉合於該下模之前將一連結層設置於該上模或該下模,該上模閉合於該下模時,該連結層係設於該壓框與該下模之間或該壓框與該上模之間,該底殼係隔著該連結層而與該彈性體結合。

申請人首先在此說明,在以下將要介紹之實施例以及圖式中,相同之參考號碼,表示相同或類似之元件或其結構特徵。其次,當述及一元件結合於另一元件時,代表前述元件係直接設置在該另一元件上,或者前述元件係間接地設置在該另一元件上,亦即,二元件之間還設置有一個或多個其他元件。
請參閱第1圖至第9圖,本發明一第一較佳實施例所提供之自行車座墊本體製造方法,係用以製造如第8圖及第9圖所示之一座墊本體10,該座墊本體10包含有一彈性體20、一表層30,以及一底殼40。該彈性體20之材質為發泡材料,且通常為閉孔式發泡材料(closed cell foam),例如EVA或PE材料等,或者為PU發泡材料,藉以同時兼具緩衝性及支撐性,惟用以製造前述彈性體20之材料並不以前述者為限。在本發明中,該表層30係採用表面平滑無孔隙之布料,例如合成塑膠皮,該表層30係覆蓋該彈性體20之一頂部21及一側周緣22,用以與騎乘者接觸。該底殼40為塑膠材質之硬質殼體,係設於該彈性體20之一底部23。該座墊本體10之製造方法包含有下列步驟:a)如第2圖至第4圖所示,以真空吸引方式將該表層30吸附於一成型模具50之一模穴51內,使得該表層30具有一貼附於該模穴51之一內壁512的主區32,以及一位於該主區32周圍的周緣區34。
在本實施例中,該成型模具50包含有相互樞接之一上模
52、一壓框54及一下模56,該模穴51係位於該下模56。該上模52具有一底面522,以及一凸出於該底面522之模台524,該壓框54之內輪廓係概與該模台524之外輪廓形狀吻合。該下模56為一殼體,其內部具有一空間562,且該下模56側面設有一與該空間562連通之抽氣通道563。該模穴51係自該下模56之一頂面564凹陷,且概呈該座墊本體10之形狀,該模穴51之內壁512設有多數穿孔514,該等穿孔514係與該空間562連通。
在此步驟a)中,係先將該表層30設於該下模56之頂面564,再使該壓框54隔著該表層30而壓抵於該頂面564(如第3圖所示),透過該抽氣通道563抽出該空間562及該模穴51內的空氣,即可使該空間562呈真空狀態,進而將該表層30緊密地吸附於該模穴51內,使得該表層30形成有貼附於該內壁512的主區32以及位於該壓框54與該頂面564之間的周緣區34(如第4圖所示)。
b)如第5圖及第6圖所示,將一基材在該成型模具50之模穴51內加熱成型為該彈性體20,使得該表層30之主區32服貼地結合於該彈性體20,並將該底殼40結合於該彈性體20之底部23。
在本實施例中,該基材為一可發泡材料62,該可發泡材料62係由塑膠原料(例如EVA、PE、PU等等,但不以此等材料為限)、發泡劑及其他添加物混合而成之液態材料,在該上模52尚未閉合於該下模56時(如第5圖所示),將該可發泡材料62注入該模穴51,並將該底殼40設於該上模52之模台524。然後,將該上模52閉合於該下模56(如第6圖所示),使得該模穴51呈封閉狀,由於本實施例之成型模具50包含有設於上、下模52、56之間的壓框54,該上模52閉合於該下模56時,該上模52係壓抵於該壓框54上。然後,該可發泡材料62在封閉之模穴51內受到加熱而發泡膨脹,並受該成型模具50塑形而成為該彈性體20,更具體地說,該可發泡材料62係在該底殼40與該表層30的主區32之間發泡成型為該彈性體20,同時,該表層30的主區32係結合於該彈性體20之頂部21及側周緣22,且該底殼40係結合於該彈性體20之底部23。
值得一提的是,該彈性體20之成型方式不限於本實施例所提供者,只要該彈性體20係在該模穴51內受到加熱並塑形,同時與該表層30結合即可。例如,該基材可為片狀或塊狀之可發泡材料,此步驟b)係將
該可發泡材料放入該模穴51內進行發泡成型;或者,該基材可為已發泡成型之一座墊本體粗胚,此步驟b)係將該座墊本體粗胚放入該模穴51內進行二次發泡及塑形。其次,該底殼40與彈性體20結合之前,該底殼40表面可以施以黏著劑用以加強該底殼40與彈性體20之間的結合強度。
如第7圖所示,此步驟b)完成後,可將該模穴51內之座墊本體半成品64自該成型模具50中取出,再進行下述之步驟c)。此時表層30之周緣區34係圍繞於該底殼40之底部42的周緣。
c)如第8圖及第9圖所示,將該表層30之周緣區34反折並固定於該底殼40之底部42。
在前述之步驟b)完成後,該座墊本體10已近乎完成,惟該表層30需再藉由人工方式進行收邊程序,亦即此步驟c)。該表層30之周緣區34可(但不限於)先裁切成適當尺寸,再自該彈性體20之側周緣22反折至該彈性體20之底部23下方,更精確地說,反折至該底殼40之底部42周緣,然後,該邊緣區34係藉由黏膠或釘槍固定於該底殼40之底部42的周緣,如此即完成該座墊本體10之製造過程。
藉由本發明所提供之製造方法,不但可在步驟b)中相當容易地使該表層30服貼固定於該彈性體20,更因此使步驟c)之反折、固定表層30周緣區的程序相當容易進行,可避免傳統人工設置表層方式造成表層受力不均之問題,更可簡化座墊本體製造程序。而且,座墊本體邊緣因完全受表層30包覆而相當平滑,因此可避免騎乘者在其跨部磨擦座墊本體邊緣時產生不適感。
請參閱第10圖,本發明一第二較佳實施例所提供之自行車座墊本體製造方法,與前述實施例之製造方法的差異係在於該步驟b)。在前述之實施例的步驟b)中,該基材加熱成型為該彈性體20的同時,該底殼40係在該成型模具50內結合於該彈性體20。然而,在本實施例之步驟b)中,該基材係先加熱成型為該彈性體20且同時該彈性體20與該表層30結合,然後該底殼40再結合於該彈性體20。亦即,如第11圖所示,在該基材加熱成型為該彈性體20時,該成型模具50內未設有該底殼40,該彈性體20係在該上模52之模台524與該表層30之間發泡成型,並將相互結合之彈性體20及表層30自該成型模具50取出後,再將該底殼40設置於該彈
性體20之底部23。前述將該底殼40與該彈性體20之底部23結合之步驟,不限於在相同的模具內進行,換言之,此步驟亦可利用不同之模具、治具或以人工膠合方式進行。整體而言,雖然第一較佳實施例之自行車座墊本體製造方法係較為簡便,然而,本實施例之自行車座墊本體製造方法仍可避免表層受力不均及未服貼於彈性體之問題,並可避免座墊本體邊緣不平滑之問題,且仍較習用之座墊本體製造程序更為簡便。
請參閱第12圖,該彈性體20在加熱成型的同時亦與該底殼40結合的情況下,該步驟b)可更在該底殼40與該彈性體20之間設置一連結層70,該連結層70可(但不限於)為一塑膠薄膜,例如PE或聚氯乙烯(Poly-Vinyl Chloride;簡稱PVC)材質之薄膜。在第12圖所示之實施態樣中,該連結層70係在該上模52閉合於該下模56之前設置於該下模56且位於該壓框54與該下模56之間並遮蓋該模穴51,該上模52閉合於該下模56時,該底殼40係隔著該連結層70而與該彈性體20結合。然而,該連結層70亦可在該上模52閉合於該下模56之前設置於該上模52且覆蓋該模台524,該上模52閉合於該下模56時,該連結層70係設於該壓框54與該上模52之間,該底殼40係隔著該連結層70而與該彈性體20結合。當然,連結層70與底殼40之間以及連結層70與彈性體20之間可以施以黏著劑以加強結合力。
藉由前述之連結層70,該底殼40與該彈性體20之結合強度可更加提升,而且,若該模穴51內之可發泡材料62過多而在該上、下模52、56閉合時溢出,該連結層70可防止可發泡材料62接觸該底殼40之外露表面,以避免後續需清理溢出材料之程序。
此外,本發明所提供之製造方法亦可應用於製造具有貫穿座墊本體頂、底面之中空部位的特殊造型的座墊本體,而在此應用時,本發明製法步驟a)中所述之表層30的周緣區34,將包括對應前述中空部位的區域,且在步驟c)中,前述區域將穿過底殼對應的中空部位而反折並固定於底殼的底部。
最後,必須再次說明,本發明於前揭實施例中所揭露的構成元件,僅為舉例說明,並非用來限制本案之範圍,其他等效元件的替代或變化,亦應為本案之申請專利範圍所涵蓋。
Claims (3)
- 一種自行車座墊本體製造方法,該座墊本體包含有一彈性體、一表層,以及一底殼,在製造時,係使用一成型模具,該成型模具包含有相互樞接之一上模、一壓框及一下模,該下模具有一模穴,該上模具有一模台;該製造方法包含有下列步驟:a)以真空吸引方式將該表層吸附於該模穴內,使得該表層具有一貼附於該模穴之一內壁的主區,以及一位於該主區周圍的周緣區;b)將該壓框隔著該表層而壓抵於該下模頂面;c)將一已發泡成型之座墊本體粗胚基材佈置在該成型模具之模穴內;d)將該底殼設於該上模之模台;e)將該上模與該下模閉合;f)對該成型模具加壓加熱使該基材被塑形為一彈性體,並使該彈性體分別與該表層及該底殼結合;以及g)將該表層之周緣區反折並固定於該底殼之一底部。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之自行車座墊本體製造方法,其中該步驟d)更在該上模閉合於該下模之前,將一連結層設置於該上模或該下模,用以使該上模閉合於該下模時,該底殼係隔著該連結層而與該彈性體結合。
- 如申請專利範圍第2項所述之自行車座墊本體製造方法,其中該連結層為一塑膠薄膜。
