Abstract

An electronic key and security software is provided for implementation of a computer security system that is coupled to a touch pad. The computer security includes application security, data security, computer theft security, and network security. In a preferred embodiment the electronic key generates a security signal containing a security code, the security software then receives the security signal and converts it to binary signal with the security code portion extracted from the binary signal. The validity of the security code is verified, if the security code is valid a computer security operation is enabled.
