Abstract

A container device, dispensing lengths of paper by manual tearing from a roll, with a roll in reserve, two substantially parallel pins (4, 4') are provided for supporting and unwinding paper from two rolls (A, B) with two openings corresponding to said pins in the lower portion of the device housing, comprises a member shaped as a sector of circle and freely rotatable about one of said pins, being provided with a peripheral flange (5a) shaped as an arc of circle and adapted to obstruct the corresponding opening at the same side when said sector is kept at a first, substantially vertical position. A spring urges the sector to rotate until reaching a second position of rest at which the opening on that side is made accessible, there being provided lever means for keeping the sector in said first position until a follower thumb, attached to said lever means comes into contact with the roll core upon roll exhaustion, whereby the sector rotates to said second position to make accessible the corresponding opening.
