Abstract

A fastener comprising a strap and a strap locking head attached to the strap and containing a passage through which the strap is able to pass and be retained by means of a ratchet action between teeth on one surface of the strap and an engagement element of the locking head, the passage being defined between two opposed wall portions of the locking head a first of which portions carries the engagement element and the second of which is mounted displaceably relative to the first portion so that, in use, deflection of the free end region of the strap away from the first portion is able to deflect or deform the second portion away from the first portion to disengage the engagement element to allow removal of the strap from the passage.
