A variable speed electric motor comprising: a full close self-cooling type motor (10) one end of which having an output shaft (19a), and a control assembly (20) for performing a variable speed control on the motor (10) housed on the housing (21); characterized in the control assembly (20) housed in the housing being installed on the opposite side of the output shaft of the motor, and an air space (30) being ensured between the housing (21) housing the control assembly and the motor.
