Abstract
A method for micro-replication in metal is to provide the metal surface with a micro-structure includes alignment of at least a chip carrying a waveguide connection or at least a fiber connection characterized such that using an embossing tool to create a V-groove in the metal surface and with great precision for aligning a waveguide or a fiber with the laser or photodiode mounted on the chip.
