Abstract

A process including a group of N number of interleaved trellis encoded data packets video information system, the encoded data presents a data state transition from one data state transition to other data state transition, the system comprises: a control circuit, in response to the interleaved encoded data and in response to a detected synchronization period to produce a synchronized signal; and one or several but less than N number of trellis decoder, in response to the synchronized signal, is employed with a predetermined number of states for decoding a group of interleaved data packets.
