Abstract
A remote monitoring system, which at least comprises a sender unit for monitoring facilities at a remote site, the sender unit being capable of transmitting a multiword message; a receiver unit connected to at least one sender unit and being capable of individually communicating with any of the plurality of sender units, the receiver unit further comprising some interfaces for: (I) carrying out remote communication with the control center; (II) carrying out on-line communication with at least one computer; (III) carrying out on-line communication with a printer; and (IV) carrying out on-line communication with a pager; in which, upon receiving a defined message, the receiver unit will generate a warning signal to be transmitted to the control center, at least one computer, the printer and the pager.
