Abstract
A process for preparing round pellets for oral administration containing Omeprazole, which process includes: (1) dissolving Omeprazole and a part of a excipient in a solution comprising ethanol, water, ammonia and binder; (2) preparing a core from white sugar, starch or microcrystalline cellulose, spraying the solution of step (1) onto the core, and adding granulating materials followed by granulating and drying; (3) conducting a sub-coating treatment by dissolving a part of the excipient to a solution comprising ethanol, water, ammonia and binder, spraying the solution to the medicine-containing granules of step (2), mixing evenly with a granulating materials followed by drying; (4) intestinal-coating the granules coated with a sub-coating layer in step (3); characterized by that the ethanol to water ratio in steps (1) and (3) is 70-80:30-20 wt.% and ammonia 0.5-10 wt.% and binder 2-10 wt.% are added.
