Description

Dental cleaning tool with at least one movable auxiliary tool

The field of the invention generally relates to tooth cleaning tools, and more specifically, the field of the invention relates to a tooth cleaning tool including at least one activity-assisted tooth cleaning tool.

The tooth cleaning tool is used to remove residual food and / or dirt from the surface of the teeth or between the teeth. Therefore, some known tooth cleaning tools include a toothbrush for cleaning the surface of the teeth and other known tooth cleaning tools include for removing or loosening residual food (or other debris) that is trapped between adjacent teeth. However, generally known tooth cleaning tools can be difficult for users to manipulate because the tooth cleaning tools must be at least partially inserted into the user's mouth. Moreover, the user must awkwardly grasp the tooth cleaning tool to reach and clean the teeth positioned at the back of the oral cavity. Therefore, known tooth cleaning tools are difficult to use for positioning on or between teeth in or near the back of the mouth. In addition, users often have to switch between discrete tools (such as a toothbrush, dental floss, and / or a toothpick) to realize the various benefits of each of these tools. Some conventional tooth cleaning tools include a combination of dental floss, a toothpick, and / or a toothbrush, which generally exacerbates the difficulty of using tooth cleaning tools. For example, the user may have to grasp and manipulate the tooth cleaning tool in a way that is not suitable for grasping or inserting into his mouth. In addition, dental floss, toothpicks and / or toothbrushes can interfere with the use of other components of the tooth cleaning tool. For example, a dental floss, toothpick or toothbrush may be attached making it difficult for the user to position other parts of the tooth cleaning tool within the user's mouth. Therefore, some users will skip or ineffectively clean their teeth to avoid discomfort. Accordingly, there is a need for improved tooth cleaning tools that combine several tooth cleaning tools and are suitable for use in an easy and effective manner.

0 suitable embodiment of a tooth cleaning tool (generally indicated as 100) of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the illustrated tooth cleaning tool 100 includes a handle 102, a dental floss holder 104, an integrally formed toothpick 106, a rotatable toothpick tool 108 and a rotatable toothbrush tool 110. 30 to 33 illustrate another suitable embodiment of a rotatable tool (a rotatable three-row toothbrush tool 109) that can be attached to the tooth cleaning tool 100. FIG. The handle 102, floss holder 104, integral toothpick 106, rotatable toothpick tool 108, rotatable toothbrush tool 110, and rotatable three-row toothbrush tool 109 are generally indicated by their respective element symbols in the drawings. It should be understood that in some other suitable embodiments without departing from some aspects of the present invention, the tooth cleaning tool 100 may include a dental floss holder 104, a toothpick 106, a rotatable toothpick tool 108, a rotatable toothbrush tool 110, and three rotatable rows Any combination (s) of toothbrush tools 109. It is further contemplated that tooth cleaning tool 100 may include a single tool (ie, only one of rotatable toothpick tool 108, rotatable toothbrush tool 110, and rotatable three-row toothbrush tool 109 without departing from some aspects of the invention) By). As shown in FIGS. 1 to 9, the handle 102 includes a grip portion 114, a floss end 116 and a toothpick end 118. In the illustrated embodiment, the handle 102 has a length 120 measured along a longitudinal axis 124 of the tooth cleaning tool 100 between the floss end 116 and the toothpick end 118 that extends through the handle 102. In suitable embodiments, the length 120 of the handle 102 may be any measurement that enables the tooth cleaning tool 100 to function as described herein. Suitably, the length 120 is in the range between approximately 43 mm and approximately 52 mm. For example, in the illustrated embodiment, the length 120 of the handle 102 is approximately 48 mm. In the illustrated embodiment and as best seen in FIGS. 1-9, the handle 102 includes a front wall 122, a pair of rear walls 126, a first side wall 128, and a second side wall opposite the first side wall 130. As shown in FIGS. 1-9, the side walls 128, 130 are oriented perpendicular to and connecting the front wall 122 and the rear wall 126. A width 132 (FIGS. 3 and 4) is measured between the front wall 122 and the rear wall 126 and a thickness 134 (FIG. 5) is measured between the two side walls 128, 130. Suitably, the width 132 of the handle 102 is about 3. 8 mm to about 5. Within 8 mm. For example, in the illustrated embodiment, the width 132 is about 4. 8 mm. Suitably, the thickness 134 of the handle 102 is about 1. 5 mm to about 2. Within 8 mm. For example, in the illustrated embodiment, the thickness 134 is about 1. 9 mm. The toothpick 106 (which defines a distal portion of the handle 102, and more specifically, the toothpick end 118 of the handle) facilitates the removal and / or release of debris between the user's teeth, such as residual food. It is contemplated that the toothpick 106 may have any suitable shape that facilitates the removal of debris between adjacent teeth. In the illustrated embodiment, the toothpick end 118 of the handle 102 is sharpened to define the toothpick 106. Specifically, the width of at least one of the side walls 128, 130 tapers toward the toothpick end 118 to a point. In the illustrated embodiment, as best seen in FIGS. 1-9, both the first side wall 128 and the second side wall 130 taper toward the toothpick end 118. Therefore, the front wall 122 and the rear wall 126 meet at the end 118 of the toothpick. It should be understood that only one of the side walls 128, 130 may be tapered. For example, in another suitable embodiment, only the second side wall 130 may be tapered, and in this embodiment, the first side wall 128 will be substantially flat. In addition, in the illustrated embodiment, the toothpicks 106 are bent in the direction in which the arms of the floss holder 104 are bent. It is also contemplated that the toothpick 106 may be curved in any other suitable direction or may be straight. In the illustrated embodiment, the toothpick 106 and the handle 102 are formed as a single piece. In other words, the toothpick 106 is an integral extension of the handle 102. However, it should be understood that the toothpick 106 may be formed as a separate component and attached to the handle 102 during the assembly of the tooth cleaning tool 100. It is also contemplated that in other suitable embodiments without departing from some aspects of the invention, the toothpick 106 may be removably attached to the tooth cleaning tool 100. In the illustrated embodiment, the floss holder 104 extends from the floss end 116 of the handle 102. The floss holder 104 includes an arcuate (or substantially non-linear) base 136 and two arms (an inner arm 138 and an outer arm 140) extending from the base in a spaced relationship with each other. As seen in FIGS. 3 and 4, the inner arm 138 and the outer arm 140 are substantially parallel to each other. In the illustrated embodiment, the dental floss support 104 is generally U-shaped. However, it should be understood that in other suitable embodiments, the floss holder 104 may have any suitable shape. In the illustrated embodiment, the dental floss holder 104 and the handle 102 are formed as a single piece. In other words, the dental floss holder 104 is an integral extension of the handle 102. However, it should be understood that the floss holder 104 may be formed as a separate component and attached to the handle 102 during the assembly of the tooth cleaning tool 100. Still referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, the tooth cleaning tool 100 includes a curved portion 142 extending between the handle 102 and the floss holder 104. For example, the curved portion 142 may be omitted in some suitable embodiments. In these embodiments, the base 136 of the dental floss holder 104 will be aligned with the longitudinal axis 124 of the tooth cleaning tool 100. Further, in the illustrated embodiment, a ridge 112 extends around the periphery of the tooth cleaning tool 100 to provide additional strength to the tooth cleaning tool 100 and facilitate a user to grasp the tooth cleaning tool 100. Each of the inner arm 138 and the outer arm 140 (which are equally extended relative to the base 136) includes a proximal portion 144 and a distal portion 146. The proximal portion 144 is connected to the base 136 and the distal portion 146 is spaced from the base 136. At least one dental line 148 extends between the inner arm 138 and the distal portion 146 of the outer arm 140. For example, in the illustrated embodiment, two floss lines 148 extend between the inner arm 138 and the outer arm 140. Suitably, the dental floss lines 148 are substantially parallel to each other. It should be understood that the dental floss support 104 may have any suitable structural design without departing from some aspects of the present invention. For example, the dental floss 148 can be selectively removed from the inner arm 138 and the outer arm 140 so that the user can manually remove and / or replace the dental floss 148. In a suitable embodiment, at least one of the rotatable toothpick tool 108 and the rotatable toothbrush tool 110 is rotatably mounted to the handle 102 of the tooth cleaning tool 100 (FIGS. 1-18). In the illustrated embodiment, both the rotatable toothpick tool 108 and the rotatable toothbrush tool 110 are rotatably mounted to the handle 102 of the tooth cleaning tool 100. In another suitable embodiment, a rotatable three-row toothbrush tool 109 (FIGS. 30 to 33) can replace one or both of the rotatable toothpick tool 108 and the rotatable toothbrush tool 110 to be rotatably mounted to the tooth cleaning tool 100之 柄 102。 The handle 102. Suitably, the rotatable toothpick tool 108, rotatable three-row toothbrush tool 109 and rotatable toothbrush tool 110 each extend along one of the first side wall 128 and the second side wall 130 in a plane substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis 124 of the tool . In the illustrated embodiment, the rotatable toothpick tool 108 extends along the second side wall 130 and the rotatable toothbrush tool 110 extends along the first side wall 128. In another embodiment, three rows of rotatable toothbrush tools 109 extend along the first side wall 128. However, it should be appreciated that rotatable toothpick tool 108, rotatable three-row toothbrush tool 109, and rotatable toothbrush tool 110 may extend along any portion of tooth cleaning tool 100 in other suitable embodiments without departing from some aspects of the invention. Referring to FIGS. 1-18, the rotatable toothpick tool 108 includes a pointed distal end 156 and a base portion 158. More generally, the rotatable toothpick tool 108 is rotatably mounted to and extends along the handle 102. More specifically, the rotatable toothpick tool 108 is rotatably mounted to and extends along the second side wall 130. In the illustrated embodiment, the rotatable toothpick 108 extends beyond the lateral extent of the floss holder 104 when in a fully rotated position. As shown in FIGS. 34 to 49, the handle 202 includes a grip portion 214, a floss end 216 and a toothpick end 218. In the illustrated embodiment, the handle 202 has a length 220 measured along a longitudinal axis 224 of the tooth cleaning tool 200 between the floss end 216 and the toothpick end 218 that extends through the handle 202. In suitable embodiments, the length 220 of the handle 202 may be any measurement that enables the tooth cleaning tool 200 to function as described herein. Suitably, the length 220 is in the range between about 43 mm to about 52 mm. For example, in the illustrated embodiment, the length 220 of the handle 202 is approximately 48 mm. In the illustrated embodiment and as best seen in FIGS. 34-49, the handle 202 includes a front wall 222, a pair of rear walls 226, a first side wall 228, and a second side wall opposite to the first side wall 230. As shown in FIGS. 36 to 40, the side walls 228, 230 are oriented perpendicular to and connecting the front wall 222 and the rear wall 226. A width 232 (FIGS. 36 and 37) is measured between the front wall 222 and the rear wall 226 and a thickness 234 (FIGS. 38 to 40) is measured between the two side walls 228, 230. Suitably, the width 232 of the handle 202 is about 3. 8 mm to about 5. Within 8 mm. For example, in the illustrated embodiment, the width 232 is about 4. 8 mm. Suitably, the thickness 234 of the handle 202 is about 1. 5 mm to about 2. Within 8 mm. For example, in the illustrated embodiment, the thickness 234 is about 1. 9 mm. The toothpick 206 (which defines a distal portion of the handle 202 and more specifically, the toothpick end 218 of the handle) facilitates the removal and / or release of debris, such as food residue, from between the user's teeth. It is contemplated that toothpick 206 may have any suitable shape that facilitates the removal of debris between adjacent teeth. In the illustrated embodiment, the toothpick end 218 of the handle 202 is sharpened to define the toothpick 206. Specifically, the width of at least one of the first side wall 228 and the second side wall 230 tapers toward the toothpick end 218 to a point. In the illustrated embodiment, as best seen in FIG. 38, both the first side wall 228 and the second side wall 230 taper toward the toothpick end 218. Therefore, the front wall 222 and the rear wall 226 meet at the toothpick end 218. It should be understood that only one of the first side wall 228 and the second side wall 230 may be tapered. For example, in another suitable embodiment, only the second side wall 230 may be tapered and in this embodiment, the first side wall 228 will be substantially flat. In the illustrated embodiment, a channel 292 extends from the first side wall 228 through the handle 202 to the second side wall 230 in the lateral dimension and extends from the area of the handle 202 close to the overall toothpick 206 to the teeth in the longitudinal dimension The floss holder 204 part of the tool 200. When the slidable toothbrush tool 210, the slidable toothpick tool 208, and the slidable three-row toothbrush tool 209 move between the first position 260 and the second position 262, the passage 292 partially defines the slidable toothbrush tool 210, the slidable toothpick tool 208 And the path of the three-row toothbrush tool 209 can be slid. A first front rail 294, a first rear rail 296, a second front rail 295, and a second rear rail 297 engage a pair of slidable tool holding channels 257 to further define the slidable toothbrush tool 210. In the illustrated embodiment, the channel 292 is sized and structured to receive the slidable tool ledge 289. The convex strip 289 has a length 293, a width 290, and a height 291. The resulting perimeter is sized and structurally designed to substantially interface with the channel 292. In the illustrated embodiment, the toothpick 206 and the handle 202 are formed as a single piece. In other words, the toothpick 206 is an integral extension of the handle 202. However, it should be understood that the toothpick 206 may be formed as a separate component and attached to the handle 202 during assembly of the tooth cleaning tool 200. It is also contemplated that in other suitable embodiments without departing from some aspects of the invention, toothpick 206 may be removably attached to tooth cleaning tool 200. In the illustrated embodiment, the floss holder 204 extends from the floss end 216 of the handle 202. The floss holder 204 includes an arcuate (or substantially non-linear) base 236 and two arms (an inner arm 238 and an outer arm 240) extending from the base in a spaced relationship with each other. As seen in FIGS. 36 and 37, the inner arm 238 and the outer arm 240 are substantially parallel to each other. In the illustrated embodiment, the floss holder 204 is generally U-shaped. However, it should be understood that in other suitable embodiments, the floss holder 204 may have any suitable shape. In the illustrated embodiment, the floss holder 204 and the handle 202 are formed as a single piece. In other words, the dental floss holder 204 is an integral extension of the handle 202. However, it should be understood that the floss holder 204 may be formed as a separate component and attached to the handle 202 during the assembly of the tooth cleaning tool 200. Still referring to FIGS. 36 and 37, the tooth cleaning tool 200 includes a curved portion 242 extending between the handle 202 and the floss holder 204. Therefore, in the illustrated embodiment, most of the base 236 of the dental floss holder 204 is disposed below the longitudinal axis 224 of the tooth cleaning tool 200. The curved portion 242 facilitates the user to grasp the handle 202 and position the floss holder 204 in the user's mouth. It should be appreciated that the floss holder 204 can be oriented relative to the handle 202 in any manner, which enables the floss holder 204 to function as described herein. For example, the curved portion 242 may be omitted in some suitable embodiments. In these embodiments, the base 236 of the dental floss holder 204 will be aligned with the longitudinal axis 224 of the tooth cleaning tool 200. Further, in the illustrated embodiment, a ridge 212 extends around the periphery of the tooth cleaning tool 200 to provide additional strength to the tooth cleaning tool 200 and facilitate a user to grasp the tooth cleaning tool 200. Each of the inner arm 238 and the outer arm 240 (which can extend outward relative to the base 236) includes a proximal portion 244 and a distal portion 246. The proximal portion 244 is connected to the base 236 and the distal portion 246 is spaced from the base 236. At least one dental floss 248 extends between the inner arm 238 and the distal portion 246 of the outer arm 240. For example, in the illustrated embodiment, two floss lines 248 extend between the inner arm 238 and the outer arm 240. Suitably, the dental floss lines 248 are substantially parallel to each other. It should be understood that the dental floss holder 204 may have any suitable structural design without departing from some aspects of the present invention. For example, the dental floss 248 can be selectively removed from the inner arm 238 and the outer arm 240 so that the user can manually remove and / or replace the dental floss 248. In the exemplary embodiment, the slidable toothpick tool 208 and the slidable toothbrush tool 210 are slidably mounted to the handle 202 of the tooth cleaning tool 200. Suitably, the slidable toothpick tool 208 and the slidable toothbrush tool 210 each extend along one of the first side wall 228 and the second side wall 230 in a plane substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis 224. In the illustrated embodiment, the slidable toothpick tool 208 extends along the second side wall 230 and the slidable toothbrush tool 210 extends along the first side wall 228. However, it should be appreciated that the slidable toothpick tool 208 and the slidable toothbrush tool 210 may extend along any portion and side of the tooth cleaning tool 200 in other suitable embodiments without departing from some aspects of the invention. In another suitable embodiment, the slidable toothpick tool 208 and the slidable three-row toothbrush tool 209 are slidably mounted to the handle 202 of the tooth cleaning tool 200. Suitably, the slidable toothpick tool 208 and the slidable three-row toothbrush tool 209 each extend along one of the first side wall 228 and the second side wall 230 in a plane substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis 224. In the illustrated embodiment, the slidable toothpick tool 208 extends along the second side wall 230 and the slidable three-row toothbrush tool 209 extends along the first side wall 228.
