防竄改包裝對於許多消費者產品公司是高度優先的,特別是,包裝盒內容物如果在購買前被污染或在沒有成人監督下被未成年人消費可能具有危險的消費者保健產品公司。傳統上,已知熱密封包裝為極安全且可防竄改的格式。

熱密封的概念為本技藝所習知。傳統上,熱密封要求待密封表面在定向力(directional force)附近為線性(亦即,平坦表面)。這限制熱密封使用於在外形更獨特且對消費者具有吸引力的包裝。對於此類複雜的包裝,其他密封方法要求不提供熱密封可提供的防竄改(tamper resistance)及保 全,因此對於尋求高度防竄改同時也尋求對消費者具有吸引力之包裝的任何公司造成難題。因此,允許在波狀或彎曲表面上熱密封的技術是高度需要的。

施加至待熱密封表面的適當溫度可在約390℉至約500℉之間,或在約415℉至約450℉之間。
施加至待熱密封表面的適當壓力可在約40psi至約110psi之間,或在約80psi至約100psi之間。
本發明的另一面向係針對一種熱密封包裝盒的方法。第17圖圖示用於熱密封包裝盒的例示的方法。如本文所述的包裝盒可放入凸座的凹穴,如本文所述(第17A圖)。該包裝盒可封閉(第17B圖)。然後,該加熱器可放低至凸座上,且可施加熱及壓力至包裝盒的邊緣(第17C圖)以形成熱密封部。適當的溫度及壓力揭示於本文。該加熱器可移開(第17D圖)且由凸座卸下已密封的包裝盒(第17E圖)。

Claims (14)

  1. 一種用於熱密封包裝盒的裝置,其係包含:具有一凸座(boss)的一支撐凸座板,有一面(face)具有用於接收一包裝盒的一或更多凹穴以及緊固於該面且包圍該一或更多凹穴之至少一部分的一或更多襯墊,其中該襯墊以及至少該面中具有該一或更多襯墊緊固於其上的部分為非平坦(non-flat),以及具有一加熱器的一加熱器板,具有一面(face)以及可與該支撐凸座上之該一或更多襯墊配對(mateable)的一或更多加熱凸緣,其中該一或更多加熱凸緣為非平坦;其中在該支撐凸座與該加熱器配對以及施加一向下力及熱時,可用一非線性密封部沿著該向下力密封一包裝盒。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之裝置,其中該支撐凸座板及該加熱器板更包含用於在該支撐凸座與加熱器配對時優化(optimizing)該支撐凸座與該加熱器之間之距離的數個閉合高度凸座(shut height bosses)。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之裝置,其中該一或更多襯墊具有在約0.05毫米至約0.5毫米之間的寬度。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之裝置,其中該一或更多襯墊具有在約0.125毫米至約0.25毫米之間的寬度。

  9. 一種用於保存產品的包裝盒,其係包含:具有一選擇的第一凹陷區及一第一周緣的一第一側邊,其中該第一周緣的至少一部分為面外(out of plane)彎曲;具有一第二凹陷區及一第二周緣的一第二側邊,其中該第二周緣之 至少一部分為面外彎曲;其中該第一側邊與該第二側邊沿著該第一周緣之至少一部分與該第二周緣之至少一部分熱密封在一起以形成一隔室。
  10. 如申請專利範圍第9項所述之包裝盒,其中該包裝盒由PET-G、PVC或聚苯乙烯構成。
