Abstract
The present invention is related to a microarray biochip comprising a substrate, a plurality of reagents (probes) immobilized on the substrate, and an RFID tag. The RFID tag is attached to the surface of the substrate, and contains internal circuits storing data related to the microarray biochip, such as a manufacture series number, probe information or hybridization reaction results. The data stored in the RFID tag can be retrieved by an RFID reader/writer so that data management and process traces are easy to be conducted.
