Abstract
A read-only memory space usage efficiency method under a universal extensible firmware interface (UEFI) / extensible firmware interface (EFI) frame is disclosed. The method copies drivers or data in a fault tolerant write (FTW) Spare segment to a storage device, and clears the FTW Spare segment; copies data of a Variable segment, a MicroCode segment, an Event Log segment and a FTW Working segment to the FTW Spare segment; rearranges variable data in the FTW Spare segment, and respectively copies the rearranged variable data, the MicroCode segment data, the Event Log segment data and the FTW Working segment data to the original segments; clears the FTW Spare segment; and copies the drivers or data copied by the storage device to the FTW Spare segment.
