Abstract

The present invention relates to an auto focus lens module. The lens module includes a focusing lens assembly, an image sensor, a locator assembly, a control unit and a voice coil actuator assembly. The focusing lens assembly is configured for focusing a target image on the image sensor. The image sensor is located at the image side of the focusing lens assembly for producing electronic signals corresponding to an optical information representative of the target image. The locator assembly is configured for detecting an actual position of the focusing lens assembly. The locator assembly includes a magnet and a magnetic sensor; and the relative position relation between the magnet and the magnetic sensor is relative with the actual position of the focusing lens assembly. The control unit is configured for receiving the electronic signals to produce a desired position for the focusing lens assembly, and then comparing the desired position with the actual position of the focusing lens assembly so as to output a control signal. The voice coil actuator assembly is configured for actuating the focusing lens assembly to move to the desired position according to the control signal.
