Abstract

The table saw comprises a work table having a working surface, a swing support pivotably connected to the work table, a sawing unit connected to a saw frame, a saw blade mounted in the sawing unit, a first electric motor driving the saw blade to rotate, and a positioning mechanism for controlling the movement of the sawing unit with respect to the work table. The positioning mechanism includes at least one second electric motor and a transmission driven by the second electric motor. The transmission connects to the sawing unit. Said second electric motor drives the sawing unit via the transmission, causing the sawing unit to move with respect to the work table. The saw blade can be adjusted in height and angle with respect to the work table by an operator who operates a switch, thus making the adjustment of the position of the saw blade easier.
