Abstract
This invention provides an organic EL display panel and moisture-resistant substrate capable of withstanding long-term use. An organic electroluminescent display panel of the present invention includes a substrate, an organic electroluminescent element supported by the substrate, and a gas barrier layer provided between the substrate and the organic electroluminescent elements. The gas barrier layer includes two or more layers of an inorganic material film and one or more layers of an organic material film provided between the inorganic material layers, respectively. A film thickness of at least one layer of the organic material film is set to five times or greater the film thickness of the inorganic material film adjacent to the organic material film on the substrate side.
