Abstract

A method for transiting a liquid crystal display is provided. The liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel including a first electrode, a second electrode and a vertical alignment liquid crystal layer between the first and second electrodes. The transiting method includes performing a pre-driving step including applying a reference voltage on the first electrode and applying a driving voltage on the second electrode so as to form an electric field between the first and second electrodes, wherein the frequency of the driving voltage is a periodic frequency wave of the variation of a voltage reference level. The low frequency electric field can enhance the transition rate of the vertical alignment liquid crystal layer so as to shorten the warming time of the liquid crystal display.
