Abstract

Provided is a catalytic electrode which is configured to face a semiconductor electrode through an interposed electrolyte layer in a dye-sensitized solar cell comprising the semiconductor electrode with photo-penetrability having photo-sensitized dye, and an electrolyte layer having a chemical specie acting as a redox couple, wherein the catalytic electrode comprises a conductive polymer layer on the electrode base thereof; and also provided is a dye-sensitized solar cell which at least comprises a semiconductor electrode with photo-penetrability having photo-sensitized dye, an electrolyte layer at least having a chemical specie acting as a redox couple, and a catalytic electrode configuring to face a semiconductor electrode through an interposed electrolyte layer, wherein the catalytic electrode is the mentioned one above.
