Abstract

An illumination system is provided, which can specify the limitation of any illumination device 11 from several illumination devices 11 in order to set the address information etc. By means of the fact that radio setting signal is emitted from a setting device 31 and only the illumination device 11 that has been received by the radio setting signal can change the ignition state of a fluorescent lamp 12, so that the illumination device 11 becomes a setting object which can be identified. The output of the radio signal from the setting device 31 needs to be adjusted and the illumination device 11 of the setting object is selected only when the illumination device 11 for setting the address information can change the ignition state of a fluorescent lamp 12. The radio signal of the address information etc. is emitted from the setting device 31, and only the illumination device 11 of the setting object receives the radio signal of the address information etc. in order to set the address information etc.
