Abstract
To provide a power generation controller capable of improving acceleration performance of a vehicle by enabling the load on an engine incurred by generation in a process by which the throttle opening is moved to full opening to be gradually reduced, and also provide a vehicle carrying the controller. In the power generation controller 88 to be used for a vehicle equipped with an ACG starter motor 21a which generates power by the engine power and supplies the power to a battery 74 or other electrical loads 92, when the throttle opening exceeds a set value, the power generating amount of the ACG starter motor 21a is continuously reduced, corresponding to the throttle opening in the opening direction exceeding the set value. Thus, the engine load caused by power generation is gradually reduced to improve the acceleration performance correspondingly.
