Söz konusu aparatlar ile 2 adet tek kisilik yatak birbirine birlestirilerek 1 adet çift kisilik yataga dönüstürmektedir. Tek kisilik yataklarin birbirinden ayrilmasi için ise yataklardan birinin kullanici tarafindan yukari kaldirilmasi ile ayirma islemi gerçeklestirilmektedir. Ancak ayirma islemi için yatagin yukari kaldirilmasi kuvvet gerektiren güç bir islem oldugundan kullanicinin zorlanmasina sebebiyet vermektedir. Bu nedenle yatak ayirma isleminin tek kisi ile gerçeklestirilmesi her zaman mümkün olmamakta ve kullanicinin baska bir kisiden yardim almasini gerektirmektedir. Dolayisiyla mevcut uygulamalarda 2 adet tek kisilik yatagin 1 adet çift kisilik yataga pratik sekilde dönüstürülmesini ve tek kullanici ile rahatlikla ayrilmasini saglayan bir aparata ihtiyaç dogmustur. Literatürde yapilan arastirmada teknigin bilinen durumuna bir örnek olarak daha Önce Bahsi geçen doküman, yatak birlestirme ayirma aparati ile ilgilidir.
