Buluş, otomotiv, makine imalat, savunma, havacılık ve uzay sanayisi gibi stratejik öneme sahip sektörlerde, karşılıklı olarak çalışan iki metalik yüzeyin aşınmaması ya da aşınmaya karşı ekstra bir direnç istendiği durumlarda kullanılan metal matrisli kompozit malzemenin, hem matrisin sahip olduğu mekanik özellikleri yansıtan hem de krom karbür içeren takviyelerin sağlayacağı üstün yüzey özelliklerine sahip olmasını sağlayan bir üretim yöntemi ile ilgilidir.
