Abstract

Görüntü verilerinin sıkıştırılması için geliştinlmiş bir kayıplı veri sıkıştırma yöntemi olup, görüntü çerçevesinin n x n kare bloğa bölünmesi, n x n blok içinde sol üst köşede (DC çarpanının etrafında) daha küçük bir m x m alanın (m < n) tanımlanması, n x n bloğa DCT uygulanması, DCT uygulanan bloğun kuantize edilmesi, DCT uygulanan ve kuantize edilen n x n bloğun zikzak taranması. Zikzak tarama ile elde edilen vektör üzerinde m x m bloğun iç kısmının (VLC1) tablosu ile, n x n bloğun, m x m blok dışında kalan kısmı (VLC2) tablosu ile değişken mesafeli kodlamaya tabi tutulması adımlarını içermektedir.
