Description

The invention relates to the field of protection against electric shock and dangerous leakage of current to earth, mainly for underground electrical networks with insulated transformer neutral.

The devices for protection against leakage of current to the earth 1, 2 are known. Of the known devices, the closest to the technical essence of this invention is the device described in 2. It contains a source of constant operating current, which uses a three-phase semiconductor rectifier, one pole which through the current limiting resistor is connected to ground. The measuring relay is connected via a junction filter formed by three resistors between the network and the ground in parallel with the operating current source.

This device has a high sensitivity and self-monitoring of the health of the circuit elements. However, it has a significant drawback: it is not able to provide control of the insulation resistance in a disconnected network. As a result

возможна подача напр жени  на сеть с поврежденной изол цией.voltage supply to the network with damaged insulation is possible.

Even short-term switching on of the network with damaged insulation of current-carrying conductors in the field conditions is associated with the danger of electric shock, fire or explosion of methane gas.

The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate these drawbacks.

The earth leakage protection device monitors the insulation resistance of the disconnected cable network and does not allow the switching apparatus (circuit breaker, magnetic starter, etc.) to be turned on if the insulation resistance to be switched on is less than the permissible value.
