Description

Machines for de-skinning of skins are already known, consisting of a rotating drum, provided with clips in the form of slats for strengthening the skin and located near the drum of the knife shaft, which serves for cutting off the hair skins. Machines are also known with the use of a rotary table and a horizontally placed circular knife above them, designed to remove hair from the skin.

The proposed machine consists of those. the main parts, namely, the transporting drum with clips for the skin and the disk knife, but for cutting the hair closer to the root, the blade of the disk knife is located in the plane that cuts the cylindrical segment from the drum, and in order to bring the knife back and forth along the drum ha associated with a crank mechanism.

The machine consists of a transporting drum 1 and a disk knife 19 installed above it. The drum has two longitudinal slots 2, equipped with spring-loaded strips i, serving 180,

The drum bearings have the possibility of a slight movement along the vertical, adjustable by the pressure roller 18, which ensures the sensitivity of the machine to skins of different thickness.

Removing wool from the skin; by cutting it occurs during its passage under the disk knife 19. The knife receives a rapid rotational movement from the motor 16 through belt drives 15-14, 20-21. The operation of the machine is that the hides tucked in the slit 2 of the drum are fed under the knife 19, which cuts off the wool in the form of a narrow strip along the entire length of the drum.

An annealed skin, when replaced with a new skin, falls out of the slot of the drum into the box between the uprights of the machine.
