Description

The following methods are known in the art for producing potassium nitrate: 1) by converting Na NOa with potassium chloride and 2) by absorbing nitrogen oxides with potassium hydroxide or potassium. Pymimo of these methods, which have found factory application, has a number of patents offering to produce potassium nitrate 1) conversion of Mg (N03) 2 with potassium chloride, 2) decomposition of potassium chloride with nitric acid, 3) conversion. Ca (NOj) 2 sulfuric 1} 1M potassium and 4) conversion of Ca (IO3) 2 with potassium chloride. The proposed method for producing potassium nitrate relates to the conversion of Ca (1HCO3) 2 with potassium chloride in an aqueous solution. ; Despite the fact that in the literature there are several patents that propose the production of KNOa by the conversion of Ca (MO3) g with potassium chloride, but owing to most of them. loss of nitrogen and potassium, these patents in the technique did not find, apparently, the application. The main difficulty in carrying out the Ca (M0z) 2 -f-2X1-2KNO3 + Cad reaction is that the conversion does not go to the end — it is possible to isolate only 20-25% of the introduced NOa into the reaction as CLA3. Prolonged circulation of mother liquors in this process, with the aim of P. P. 1421. If nitrogen and potassium losses are impossible, the uterine liquors are soon enriched in potassium chloride and must be withdrawn from the process. In the proposed method, a well-known property of CaClO to form oxychlorides of the type pCaO wCaCNCHaO, insoluble in water under the action on aqueous solutions of CaCL with calcium oxide CaO or fluff Ca (OH) 2, or lime milk is used. Potassium chloride is dissolved in the Ca (COz) 2 solution in the cold. After stirring, the KNOa crystals are separated at t ° 5-10 °. The mother liquor is treated with fluff and, after separation of the precipitated calcium oxychloride, is directed to the desaturation of Ca (NO) and KCl. The subject matter of the invention. A method of producing potassium nitrate by reacting Kajvb nitrate and potassium chloride, characterized in that after extracting potassium nitrate from a solution, anhydrous ml of slaked lime is added to the solution to precipitate calcium chloride as the basic salt, after which the resulting solution is again saturated with calcium nitrate and potassium chloride.
