Description

The proposed prism hardening device for weights consists of a rack on which a lever with a gear rack, which is moved vertically using a handwheel, is rotatably fixed. Pliers are attached to the lever on the rubber cord to break the clip to grip the hardened prisms.

In the schematic drawing of FIG. 1 shows a general view of a device for hardening prisms for scales; FIG. 2 - view it in the plan; FIG. 3 is a side view of it; FIG. 4 and 4 are two projections of the device for carrying the knives in the heated state.

The said device is a portable machine having a stand 10 on the base 12, on which the lever 7 is hinged (Fig. 1). At the left end of the lever 7, a rack 2 is mounted, which is under the action of a spring 13, which can be lowered and raised by rotating the handwheel 1. The latter is reinforced together with the gear wheel 3 on a common axis passing through a rack 4 attached to the sleeve housing 5. During rotation

handwheel 1 serrated bar 2 can be moved vertically along with a clip b attached to it, which serves to grip hardened prisms. To the lever 7, forceps 9 with handles, equipped with a spring 11, are hung on the elastic thread 8 and serve to open the clamp 6 when laying hardened objects (Figs. 1.2 and 3). In the heated state, the handle 14 was applied to the prism sub-top (Fig. 4 and 4).

A heated prism is fixed in clamp 6, which, when the handwheel 1 rotates, is lowered into a water-filled bath placed under clamp 6 and is thus quenched.
