The proposed brace for osteosynthesis for fractures of the upper extremities is simple in design and provides reliable convergence and compression of bone fragments during operative osteosynthesis of transverse (or close to them) diaphyseal fractures of the leech, clavicle, forearm bones.

The coupling sleeve is a tube, at the ends of which there is an internal thread of the opposite direction. In the central part of the coupling, free from thread, there are two mutually perpendicular Through holes 3, which serve to facilitate the rotation of the coupling when the clips are approaching. One end of the threaded rods is pointed, at the other end there is a thread of a corresponding (left or right) direction. The key is a bar, bent at a right angle and sharpened for insertion into the coupling holes. The operative technique of osteosynthesis is simple: after dissection under local infiltration or intraosseous anesthesia of soft tissues, exposing and matching fragments, in each of them make one hole with a drill of the appropriate diameter through both cortical layers at an angle to the longitudinal central axis of the bone corresponding to the bend of the threaded rods, and the tops of these imaginary angles should be directed towards the fracture. The bracket is inserted assembled gradually with simultaneous tightening of the coupling. For fractures of larger bones, it is possible to use two brackets in different planes. The staple may not be removed later, and if it is necessary to remove it, this is done (after cutting the skin and exposing the brace) by unscrewing the coupling or after biting one of the corners.
