Abstract
FIELD: analytical methods for gases. SUBSTANCE: invention can, in particular, be utilized in chromatography when developing trace detector characterizing by high sensitivity and resolving capacity. Method consists in ionizing trace substances in the stream of gas being analyzed, separating ions in alternate, periodic, and asymmetric with regard to its polarity electrical field, and selecting and registering ions, separation being carried out in nonuniform electric field. Gradient of the field is directed opposite ion drift arising in the alternate, periodic, and asymmetric electrical field. EFFECT: increased sensitivity and selectivity of analysis. 2 dwg
