Description

In order to avoid the use of leather sleeves in pistons for hydraulic cylinders, a piston made in the form of a glass with a ring inserted into it is proposed, the cylindrical walls of which are a glass and the rings are cut along a helix. and pressed against the walls of the cylinder by the action of an inserted split ring inside.

In the hollow piston 1, having the form of a cup, a ring 2 is inserted, into which a split spring ring 3 is inserted, retaining ring 2 with its outer flange and attached to the piston by means of a washer 4 fixed to a screw stud 5. Cylindrical walls of the piston 1 and ring 2 cut along a helical line, forming screw gaps, and assembled so that the screw gap in the piston 1 closes on the inside with a solid part of the ring 2.

During the operation of the piston, the spring ring 3 tears through the walls of the ring 2, which in turn tears the walls of the piston, pressing them against the hydraulic cylinder, as a result of which, according to the inventor, the penetration of fluid between the piston and the walls of the cylinder is hampered.
