Description

Apparatuses for cleaning garlic are known, including a hopper, a conical shaped screw for dividing the heads of garlic into cloves, and a fan for removing waste.

The aim of the invention is to create conditions in these devices for a more complete separation of garlic heads into lobules and the removal of the latter from the shell. This is achieved in that rubber-cushioned rollers rotating at different speeds and a cleaning rotor are used to clean the garlic. The latter is made in the form of stepped diameter discs mounted on a vertical shaft, provided with radial slots around the perimeter. The disks are enclosed in cylinders interconnected by bridges moving reciprocating vertically. This movement between the discs and the lower edges of the cylinders creates gaps for the passage of garlic cloves.

The inner surface of the cylinders of the proposed device can be gummed with corrugated rubber.

The main parts of the garlic peeler are the feed hopper /, conical shaped cheeks 2 for dividing the heads of garlic into cloves, the fan 5 for waste removal and the cleaning rotor. The latter is made in the form of 4 disks of 5, 6, 7 and 8 stepped diameters mounted on a vertical shaft, provided with radial slots 9 around the perimeter. Garlic is cleaned in the device as follows.

Under the action of centrifugal force, the lobules are thrown to the periphery of the disk and pressed against the inner corrugated surface of the cylinder 10. Due to the rotation of the disks and the reciprocating movement of the cylinders (from the actuator 16), garlic slices accumulated on the inner surface of the cylinder are agitated. In this case, each segment, rotating with the disk, is pressed against the inner surface of the cylinder with its new surfaces and is cleaned of the outer shell.

When the cylinders are in the upper position between their lower edges and discs, slots are formed (Fig. 4) through which garlic cloves fall on the underlying discs, and from disc 8 already cleaned are moved to the chute 17 and then to the water tank. Fan sucks air from the internal cavities of the device, as well as husks. A part of the husk on the surface of the water in the tank 1b is washed into the drainage.

Thus, thanks to the cleaned-rotor device described, each garlic clove, going through all its stages, is cleaned four times.

A device for cleaning garlic, which includes a hopper, a screw of conical shape for dividing the heads of garlic into cloves and a fan for removing waste, characterized in that, in order to more completely divide the heads into cloves and clean the latter from the casing, rubberized rubber rollers rotating at different speeds and a cleaning rotor made in the form of stepped diameter discs mounted on a vertical shaft, fitted with radial nests along the perimeter and enclosed in By the lintels, cylinders reciprocating vertically, in which gaps for the passage of garlic cloves form between the discs and the lower edges of the cylinders. 2.
