The described maschina has an advantage over the well-known in that the production of relief (shadow) patterns on the canvas is possible with the help of a single jacquard mechanism.

This is achieved by the fact that the knives of the mechanism, which control the selectors, are made in the cross section with stepwise, respectively, the number of POSITIONS of the selectors, and the hook of each of the selectors is covered by the ears of the pushers (ng) of various length, interacting with the perforated cardboard cards of the mechanism.

The mechanism consists of selectors 1, connected by hooks 2 with hooks 3, driven by knives 4. The hook of each selector is covered by the ears of pushers (needles) 5, having different lengths and interacting with perforated cardboard cards 6.

The operation of the mechanism is as follows.

If the hooks 3 fall on both steps of the knives 4, the selectors / are fully extended from the weft yarns of the ear chaps 7 and both the threads will thread the looped chains.

If the hook 3 falls on the second step of the knives 4, then the selector / moves out halfway and closes one weft thread, and the second one intersects the looped chains.
