Description

Devices are known for measuring the pulse duration at a predetermined level with the preliminary extension of the pulse duration, which contain a balanced detector with chains of automatic displacement in the detector's arms. A disadvantage of such devices is insufficient measurement accuracy due to the effect of changes in the amplitude of the pulses on the measurement results.

In the described device, this disadvantage is eliminated by replacing the chains of automatic cushioning with supporting straps.

19.The pulse under study is fed to a balanced detector formed by diodes 1} 2 (see drawing), which serve to preliminarily expand the pulse duration. The source of the 3 reference voltage is included in one detector arm. In the second arm, a power source connected to terminal 4 is used as the reference voltage. In the event that the input emulsion level exceeds the voltage across the capacitor 5, the capacitance 6 is charged through diode 2. When the input pulse exceeds the sum of voltages capacitors 5 and 7 charge the capacitor 8 through the diode /. After the end of the pulse, the capacitance 6 is discharged through the resistance 9, and the capacitance 8 - through the resistance 10. I. The pulses taken from the resistances 9 and 10 through the capacitors // and 12 are fed to the subtraction circuit 13. The difference signal obtained on the output of the subtraction circuit 13 will be. have an amplitude proportional to the duration of the input pulse. After the amplifier 14, the difference signal through the diode 15 is supplied to the capacitor 16, which is connected to the electrometric circuit 17, which serves to measure the voltage on the capacitor 16 by means of a measuring device 18, according to which it is judged the duration of the pulses under study. To reset the readings, the capacity 16 is discharged, shorting it with the key 19.
