Abstract

In a transport robot for transporting lead frames for electronic components ("chips") (35) in cuboid magazines (8) by means of a clamping device (16), the latter has two jaws (30) each of which bears on a lateral edge of a wall (33) of the magazine (8) and together clamp said wall when the magazine is gripped by the clamping device. In the direction perpendicular to the clamped wall the jaws (30) are wider than (b1) of the wall so that the lead frame cannot fall out of the magazine when the transport robot moves it. The clamping device is preferably fitted with a cover plate, the frontal surface of which in the direction perpendicular to the clamped wall butts against it when the magazine is gripped by the clamping device.
