Abstract
A sensing device for determining the orientation of the sensing device with respect to a page having coded data theron, the sensing device including a housing; a light emitter; a light receiver; a processor; wherein the emitter and receiver each have a known orientation with respect to the housing, the light emitter, receiver and processor together comprising an orientation sensor for sensing directional marks of the coded data, and wherein the processor is adapted to determine the orientation of the housing with respect to the directional marks of the coded data.
