Abstract

The invention relates to an air-insulated circuit breaker comprising a plurality of breaker poles (101). The breaker poles comprise an extinguishing medium and at least two contact members (104, 106). An operating member (119) operates the circuit breaker, and a mechanical system transfers the movements of the operating member to the contact members. The breaker poles are interconnected, preferably through a beam (108) of extruded aluminium, to a common enclosure, containing the extinguishing medium and all the contact members (104, 106) of the circuit breaker.
