Abstract

Separator which separates wood chips into different fractions has input device to supply chips in a single layer to an angled resting surface. The separator acts on the chips (1) by a pulsation effect so that they are separated by dividing walls (5) before going out on different tracks. There is an input device (6) which supplies the chips in a single layer onto an angled resting surface (2), the dimensions of which are such that the chips have time to come to rest on the length/width directed surface and slide on them to reach a uniform speed before the chips reach a gap (3) extending across the resting surface. The pulsation effect is provided by a gas flow (4).
