Abstract

Goods are contained in a plastic bag (2) held inside a protective tube (1) designed to be stood upright. A packaging item for goods consisting of or containing liquid material(s) comprises an inner plastic layer and a protective casing. A tube capable of resisting external forces and the weight of the packaging contents is used to form the protective casing. The plastic layer is formed by a separate plastic bag mounted in the tube and designed to hold the liquid contents, the bag exerting a pressure against the inside of the tube when filled with liquid, so that the frictional force between the filled bag and tube is greater than the weight of the packaging contents. The packaging is designed to be placed with the tube in the upright position with its bottom end resting on an underlay. A closure mechanism is also provided in the packaging for sealing the bag tight.
