Abstract

A device for determining the course direction from a terrestrial observation point to the moon includes two plates (1, 2), of which one, the first plate (1), includes a first series of mutually separated and chronologically ordered reproductions (5) of the phases of the moon through one revolution thereof. The first plate includes a second series of mutually sequential time markings (8) covering one calendar day. The two series are of equal length and are aligned with one another. The second plate (2) includes an angular scale (10) that covers a full circle (0-360 degrees), wherewith the ends (9) of the scale (10) can be read against the ends of the series.
