Abstract

The connection socket comprises a box (1) which is fitted with a metal cover (2) which is attached by screws, bayonet fitting or a hinge in order to protect the insulation (3) within which the contacts are mounted. The contacts are male terminal pins (4) embedded in the insulating material and protected at their ends by an insulating cap (5). The insulating cap not only increase the amount of insulation between the terminal pins and the cover, but also increases insulation between contact pins avoid risk of a short circuit. The insulating caps are fitted by gluing, screwing or clipping without the use of screws or lateral pins.
