Abstract

The fan has a fan wheel (15), which is arranged centrally to the intake aperture (6) and has a rotation axis (14) at right-angles to the rear wall. The outlet aperture (8) has a width (B) which is twice as large as the diameter (d) of the fan wheel, and a height, which corresponds to or is greater than the diameter of the fan wheel. The fan wheel produces a radially outwardly directed air flow (1) in the chamber (2). The fan wheel is centrally arranged in a U-shaped channel (18), which has a width, which corresponds to the width of the outlet aperture, and a length which corresponds to the outlet opening height. The channel has a flat bottom wall (10) parallel to the fan chamber rear wall (5). Side walls (19) are directed from the bottom wall towards the outlet aperture. The side walls for directing a part of the radial air flow (17) converge towards the outlet aperture in the direction towards the bottom wall.
