Abstract

Bulk material conveying equipment for selectable unloading and loading of a ship comprises a jib (7), which is mounted to be pivotable and rockable on a gantry construction (3), with an unloading or loading arm (8) suspended therefrom. At the land side, a tubular column (4), which rests on the gantry construction (3), is arranged underneath the jib (7). The unloading or loading of a ship takes place by way of a single cover belt conveyor. Vertical portions of the conveyor are suspended in the arm (8) and column (4) in such a manner that twisting of the conveyor in the arm in correspondence with the pivotation of a belt support assembly (10), and twisting within the column (4) in correspondence with the pivot angle during the pivotation of the jib (7), is possible with the assistance of pivoting and mechanisms. The conveyor has an extension portion for conveying along the quayside with the drive (19) and tension means on the extension and the direction of rotation of the drive and thereby the direction of conveying by the conveyor can be reversible. <IMAGE>
