Abstract

Shelter for military and/or civil use, intended to be arranged on a foundation set up for this purpose and then covered with filler. The shelter comprises a cylindrical shell 1 whose ends are closed off by gable walls, of which at least one has a closable access opening. According to the invention, the shelter is built up on a supporting frame structure 2 comprising a number of transverse rigid frames 3 arranged at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction of the shelter, which frames 3 are connected to each other by means of longitudinal rigid bars 4 in such a way as to form a parallelepipedal supporting frame structure 2. The frame structure is covered, at least on the top and on the two long sides, by curved cover panels 1A, 1B, 1C which arch outwards from the frame structure in the transverse direction and are supported by the said parallelepipedal frame structure 2 via its longitudinal bars. The curves of the said panels are preferably of circular cylindrical shape. <IMAGE>
