Abstract

New human monoclonal antibodies with neutralizing activity against the cytomegalovirus (CMV). A method for preparation of such antibodies is also described, whereby the antibodies are produced from human peripheral blood lymphocytes. The antibodies are specific for epitopes between aa 552-635 of gp58 or aa 67-86 of gp116 and recognize native gp58/gp116 as well.
